Note.—A warm and agreeable summer month, with northerly winds prevailing. Heavy rain fell at the beginning and during the latter part of the month. Total bright sunshine, 226 hours 25 minutes, with two sunless days. The mean earth temperature at 1 ft. was 66·4°, and 65·6° at 3 ft. Mean dew-point, 53·7°; mean elastic force of vapour, 0·413 inches; and mean relative humidity, 72 per cent. of saturation.
