Alteration in Designation of a Defence Rifle Club.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve, under section 43 (1) and (2) of the Defence Act, 1909, that the designation of the Kaitawa Defence Rifle Club be altered to that of the Kaitawa Rongomai Defence Rifle Club. Date of approval, 31st January, 1913.

Formation of a Coast Defence Detachment.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve, under section 6 (a) of the Defence Act, 1909, of the formation of a Coast Defence Detachment of the 13th (North Canterbury and Westland) Regiment, consisting of one infantry company, with headquarters at Westport. The establishment of officers will be as follows :-

Captain (1).
Lieutenants and 2nd Lieutenants (2).
