Trustees for the Hanmer Plains Public Cemetery appointed
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries
Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liver-
pool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint
WALTER JOHN HORWELL,
JOHN EWEN SCOTT, and
JOHN DODDS
to be Trustees, in the place of John McArthur, William John
Larcombe, and Robert Hood, left the district, to provide for
the maintenance and care of the Hanmer Plains Public Ceme-
tery, in conjunction with Oscar Anderson and Edwin Richard
Turton, previously appointed.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine
hundred and thirteen.

Imposing a Duty on Extractum Papaveris.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS an article known as Extractum papaveris,
being an extract of poppy capsules prepared accord-
ing to the British Pharmacopoeia of one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-five, is imported into New Zealand: And
whereas the Minister of Customs is of opinion that the said
Extractum papaveris possesses in a lesser degree the [pro-
perties of opium, the latter article being subject to a duty of
forty shillings per pound:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority con-
ferred upon me by section sixty-six of the Customs Law Act,
1908, do hereby direct that there shall be levied on Extrac-
tum papaveris prepared according to the British Phar-
macopoeia of one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five a
duty of four shillings per pound, being a duty fixed in pro-
portion to the degree in which it approximates in its properties
to opium.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine
hundred and thirteen.

Governor’s Order No. 206.]
Notice exempting Native Land from the Provisions of the Mining Act.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon
me by the Mining Act, 1908, and of every other power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, do hereby, as from the day of the
date hereof, exempt that area of Native land situated in the
Hauraki Mining District described in the Schedule hereto
from mining on the surface, or within fifty feet from the
surface thereof.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 100 acres, more or less, situate in Block VIII,
Otama Survey District, being Kuaotunu No. 3b Block, and
bounded towards the north and east by Crown land, towards
the south generally by the shore of Mercury Bay, towards
the south-west by Kuaotunu No. 6 Block, and towards the
west by Crown land.
As witness my hand, this twelfth day of February,
one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.
