Note. Changeable weather was experienced during the month, but the mean rainfall and pressure were below the average for the same month in former years. Total bright sunshine 180 hours 16 minutes, and no sunless days. Mean earth temperature at 1 ft. was 54·6° and 54·4° at 3 ft. Frosts were recorded on three mornings. Hail occurred on the 26th, at 2 p.m. Mean dew point, 46·9°; mean elastic force of vapour, 0·322 inches; and mean relative humidity, 76 per cent. of saturation.
