Reserve for Lease by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, 14th October, 1912.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, at 11 o’clock a.m. on Friday, the 6th day of December, 1912, under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and amendment.

Situated about three miles and a half from Woodville Post-office. Level land in grass, with the exception of a small area along the river-bank which is covered with purple lupin.

Terms and Conditions of Lease.

  1. One half-year’s rent, together with £1 1s. lease fee, must be paid on the fall of the hammer.
  2. No declaration is required. Residence and improvements are not compulsory. No compensation shall be claimed by the lessee, nor shall any be allowed by the Government on account of any improvements effected by the lessee, nor for any other cause.
  3. Possession will be given on the 1st January, 1913, from which date the rent will commence.
  4. The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance.
  5. All rates, taxes, charges, and assessments whatsoever to be paid by the lessee.
  6. The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the land comprised in the lease, except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.
  7. The lessee shall have the right to use the land comprised in the lease for grazing purposes only.
  8. All persons duly authorized in that behalf shall have free right of ingress, egress, and regress for such purposes as the Commissioner of Crown Lands may deem expedient.
  9. Licenses may be issued at any time during the currency of the lease to the lessee or other persons to remove metal, gravel, or sand without the payment of compensation to the lessee.
  10. The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, and sweetbriar on the land, and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove, or cause to be removed, all gorse, sweetbriar, broom, ragwort, or other noxious weeds or plants as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
  11. The lessee shall destroy all rabbits on the land, and he shall prevent their increase or spread to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
  12. The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the lease within thirty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.

Reserve in Auckland Land District for Lease by Public Tender.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 16th September, 1912.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders will be received at this office up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Friday, the 15th day of November, 1912, for a lease of the undermentioned land, under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and amendment.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Tauranga County, Te Puna Parish.

SECTION 237, containing 1 acre and 5 perches (known as the Landing Reserve). Minimum annual rental, £1 10s. Situated on Te Puna Point, Tauranga Harbour, about half a mile from Te Puna Post-office and school.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

  1. Term of lease, fourteen years, without right of renewal, and subject to termination at any time by twelve months’ notice in writing.
  2. The lessee shall have no right to compensation, either for improvements put on the land or on account of the aforesaid resumption, or for any other cause; but he may, on the expiration or sooner determination of the lease, remove all buildings and fences erected by him, but not otherwise.
  3. The lessee shall not sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of his interest in the lease without the consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
  4. The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of all noxious weeds on the land, and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove or cause to be removed all noxious weeds or plants as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
  5. The lessee shall discharge all rates, taxes, charges, and other assessments that may become due and payable.
  6. Rental payments in arrear for two calendar months shall render the lease liable to termination; or a breach of covenant in the lease, expressed or implied, shall entitle the Crown to re-enter and determine the lease.
  7. Tenders to be indorsed on the outside “Landing Reserve, Te Puna Parish,” and to be accompanied by the first half-year’s rent at the rate tendered, and lease fee £1 1s.
  8. The highest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned timber will be offered for sale by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, at 10 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, 14th November, 1912, in terms of the Land Act, 1908, and the Timber Regulations thereunder.

CONDITIONS OF SALE.

  1. The right to cut and remove the timber will be generally in accordance with the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Timber Regulations made thereunder.
  2. The purchaser shall pay the purchase-money as follows: 10 per cent. on the fall of the hammer, together with £1 1s. (license fee), half of the balance in three months and the other half in six months.
  3. The purchaser shall have the right to cut the timber under license during the period of six months from date of sale.
  4. The licensee shall not put, throw, or place, or allow to be put, thrown, or placed, in any river, stream, or watercourse, or into any place where it may be washed into a stream, river, or watercourse, any sawdust or refuse.
  5. In the event of the timber not being disposed of at auction, applications may be received and dealt with at any time within six months from the above date of sale (unless previously formally withdrawn); provided, however, that the amount offered is not less than the upset price stated herein.
  6. No compensation will be given, nor shall any be claimed, for any error, discrepancy, or misdescription whatever in respect to the timber, or in these conditions.
  7. The attention of intending purchasers is directed particularly to clauses 9, 17, 18, 22, and 27 of the Timber Regulations, copies of which may be obtained on application.
