Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Otahuhu and of Manukau County.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 17th October, 1912.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the Borough of Otahuhu are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the said borough being a new borough constituted by Proclamation dated the 27th day of August, 1912, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and published in Gazette No. 70, of the 29th day of August, 1912.

And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the County of Manukau affected by the constitution of the Borough of Otahuhu made by the said Proclamation dated the 27th day of August, 1912, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF OTAHUHU.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the County of Eden, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 74, of the 21st September, 1911, from the middle of the Main Trunk Railway line to the Otahuhu Creek; thence by that creek to the Tamaki River; thence towards the east and south-east generally by the Tamaki River to the Main Trunk Railway Reserve; thence by a line running in the direction of the middle of the road forming the north-western boundary of Section No. 36, Manurewa Parish, to the middle of the said railway reserve; and thence towards the south-west by a line along the middle of the said railway reserve to the southern boundary of the County of Eden, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF MANUKAU.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the northern side of Portage Road from the Manukau Harbour to the Otahuhu Creek; thence by the Otahuhu Creek to the Tamaki River; thence by the Tamaki River to the sea; thence by the sea to the northernmost corner of the Waitawa Block; thence towards the east and south generally to Franklin County, as described in the First Schedule to the Franklin and Manukau Counties Act, 1911, to the Pahurehure River; thence towards the south-west and west generally by the said Pahurehure River and the Manukau Harbour to the northern side of Portage Road, the place of commencement: including Puketutu and adjacent islands in Manukau Harbour, and excluding the Borough of Otahuhu.
