CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Reserve for Lease by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, 14th October, 1912.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, at 11 o’clock a.m. on Friday, the 6th day of December, 1912, under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and amendment.

Situated about three miles and a half from Woodville Post-office. Level land in grass, with the exception of a small area along the river-bank which is covered with purple lupin.
Terms and Conditions of Lease.

One half-year’s rent, together with £1 1s. lease fee, must be paid on the fall of the hammer.

No declaration is required. Residence and improvements are not compulsory. No compensation shall be claimed by the lessee, nor shall any be allowed by the Government on account of any improvements effected by the lessee, nor for any other cause.

Possession will be given on the 1st January, 1913, from which date the rent will commence.

The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance.

All rates, taxes, charges, and assessments whatsoever to be paid by the lessee.

The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the land comprised in the lease, except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.

The lessee shall have the right to use the land comprised in the lease for grazing purposes only.

All persons duly authorized in that behalf shall have free right of ingress, egress, and regress for such purposes as the Commissioner of Crown Lands may deem expedient.

Licenses may be issued at any time during the currency of the lease to the lessee or other persons to remove metal, gravel, or sand without the payment of compensation to the lessee.

The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, and sweetbriar on the land, and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove, or cause to be removed, all gorse, sweetbriar, broom, ragwort, or other noxious weeds or plants as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The lessee shall destroy all rabbits on the land, and he shall prevent their increase or spread to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the lease within thirty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.

NOTICE is hereby given, under section 326 of the Land Act, 1908, that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be disposed of under the provisions of section 140 of the said Act on or after Thursday, the 23rd day of January, 1913.

NOTICE is hereby given that the right to cut and remove the timber on the undermentioned Crown land will be offered for sale by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at 2.30 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 27th November, 1912, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the timber regulations thereunder:

CONDITIONS OF SALE.

The right to cut and remove the timber will be sold generally in accordance with the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, the timber regulations made thereunder, and the following conditions, and may contain such additional conditions as the Commissioner in his discretion considers necessary in the interests of the Crown or of the public.

The quantities of the various timbers set forth in the above Schedule are approximate only, and are furnished for the information of intending purchasers, who are expected, previous to the sale, to make their own estimate of the quantity of timber. No contract for purchase shall be voidable, nor shall the licensee be entitled to any abatement in price, by reason of the said timber being of less quantity, quality, and kind than as stated herein, nor shall
