Land temporarily reserved for Telegraph Purposes in Wai-iti Survey District, Nelson Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for telegraph purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 24·8 perches, more or less, and being part of Section 159, District of Waimea South, in Block XV, Wai-iti Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west, the north, the north-east, and the south-east, 424·7 links, 67·2 links, 584 links, and 471·5 links respectively, by a public road; and towards the south-west by other part of the said Section 159, 604 links: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/613, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Lands temporarily reserved for Gravel Purposes in Corwar Survey District (Avenel Settlement), Canterbury Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the sixty-ninth section of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, it is further provided that the Governor may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside reserves for any specified public purpose out of land acquired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Canterbury Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for gravel purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Reserve 3874 (in red), situated in Avenel Settlement, Block VIII, Corwar Survey District, commencing at the north-west corner of Rural Section 27070; thence bounded towards the south-west by a road-line, 334·7 links; towards the north-west and north-east by Section 13, Block VIII, Corwar Survey District (Avenel Settlement), 300·5 links and 333·7 links respectively; and towards the south-east by Rural Section 27070, 300·5 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Reserve 3875 (in red), situated in Avenel Settlement, Block IX, Corwar Survey District, commencing at the point on the public road, the same being distant 671 links north-westerly from the eastern corner of Section 3, Avenel Settlement, being a rectangular piece of land 333·3 links by 300 links, having a frontage of 333·3 links to the public road; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/826, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Land temporarily reserved as a Site for a Residence for the Custodian of the Ida Valley Irrigation-works, in the Otago Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres and 34 perches, more or less, being Section 37, Block V, Tiger Hill Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 958 links; towards the south-east by Section 8, Block V, Tiger Hill Survey District, 1923 links; and towards the south-west by a public road, 2149 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/783, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Bounded towards the north-east by Section 16A of said Settlement, 1077·3 links; towards the south-east by a road-line fronting the Otekaike River, 1330 links; towards the south-west by part of Section 23A of aforesaid Settlement, 1525 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 1260 links;
