A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-nine of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Proclaiming Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that all Native land purchased by the Crown under the authority of this Act shall, on becoming vested in severity in the Crown, become Crown land subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and shall be proclaimed as such by the Governor, and shall thereafter be administered and dealt with accordingly :

And whereas the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been purchased and has become vested in severity in the Crown :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and seventy-four of the said Act, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land situate in the Mangawhero Survey District, containing 217 acres, more or less, being the land known as Maungakaretu No. 485, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 85, folio 280, of the Register-book of the Wellington Land Registration District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Western Railways (branch to Otatatau and Nightcaps Coalfield) to take further land at Wairio, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
