Notice of Resolution recommending Withdrawal of Land from the Operations of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and its Amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor in Council, acting under the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section 33 of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and section 9 of the Kauri-gum Industry Amendment Act, 1910, that a resolution has been passed by the Auckland Land Board certifying that, to the best of their knowledge and belief, the portion of Te Mata Kauri-gum Reserve Extension described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of gum-digging, and recommending the Governor to issue an Order in Council declaring the said area to be no longer subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908. Any objection to this proposal must be sent to His Excellency the Governor within two months from the date hereof.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 18 acres and 13 perches, more or less, being part of Te Mata Kauri-gum Reserve Extension, set apart by Order in Council dated 10th July, 1899, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, of 13th July, 1899, page 1302. Bounded towards the north-east by Section 42, Block X, Hukerenui Survey District, 3716·5 links; towards the south-west and north-west generally by a public road, 100 links wide, 8·4, 925·1, 404·2, 706·7, 586·1, 232·7, 312·4, 373·9, 415·6, and 235·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/675, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. A DESPATCH has been received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies in which he states that His Majesty’s Principal Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs has been notified by the Italian Government that access by night to the islands occupied by the Italian Forces in the Aegean Sea is prohibited to all vessels, whether Italian or neutral.

Defining River Limits for Mokau.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 189 of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, I, Francis Marion Bates Fisher, Minister of Marine, do hereby define the Mokau limits within which river-limits steamships and ships propelled by gas, oil, fluid, electricity, or any mechanical power other than steam, and to which river-limits certificates are issued, may ply to be as follows, namely:—

To be inside the bar of Mokau River.

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II, Unclaimed Lands).

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have, for the purposes of Part II of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed lands), made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder, and the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by section 66 of that Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of that Act pertinent hereto: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owner is, and believe that such owner is not in the Dominion, nor has such owner established his title to the said land, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908; the value of the land for the purposes of section 67 (d) of the said Act being less than £100.
