Consenting to a Mortgage of Native Land.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1912.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section two hundred and thirty of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that no instrument of alienation of Native land by way of mortgage or charge, other than a mortgage or charge in favour of a State Loan Department, shall be confirmed by a Board or the Court without the precedent consent of the Governor in Council :

And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor in Council to a mortgage of the block or parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto : And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor in Council should issue :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the confirmation of an alienation by way of mortgage of the block or parcel of land set out in the Schedule hereto. And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.

Native Licensing Districts abolished.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1912.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section five, subsection four, of the Licensing Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time alter the limits of any Native licensing districts or abolish the same : And whereas it is expedient to abolish the Native Licensing Districts of Taupo and Waioeka :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in pursuance and exercise of all powers enabling him in this behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of New Zealand, doth hereby abolish, from and after the first day of September next, the said Native Licensing Districts of Taupo and Waioeka.

Declaring a Portion of the Pipiriki-Waiouru Road (Pipiriki-Raetihi Section), in the Waimarino County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1912.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Waimarino County, known as Pipiriki-Raetihi Road, commencing at the eastern boundary of the Pipiriki Township, and proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction through part of Block X, Blocks XI and XII, Rarete Survey District, and part of Block IX, Makotuku Survey District; thence fronting Sections 6, 2, and 1, Block IX aforesaid; thence along frontage of Sections 1 and 3, Block V, Makotuku Survey District; thence along frontage of Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, and 15, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District, and terminating at the junction with Ameku and Hukaroa Roads on the western boundary of the Raetihi Township, being a distance of 15 miles 40 chains or thereabouts: as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 31985, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Exempting Weld Street, Wadestown, from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to certain Conditions as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1912.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council :

And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor, by Order in Council, thinks fit to impose :

And whereas, on the thirteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, the Wellington City Council, the local authority having control of the street described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said district :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
