SCHEDULE.
OPIO RIVER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, situated in Wairio Survey District, bounded towards the north generally by the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 124 and 47 from the westernmost corner of Section No. 124 to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 47; thence towards the east generally by the road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 47, 46, 45, and 44 to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south by the road forming the southern boundaries of Sections Nos. 44 and 130 to Section No. 129; thence towards the west and again towards the south by the last-mentioned section to the road at its north-western corner; and thence again towards the west generally by the road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 135, 134, 133, 132, and 131 and the road forming the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the westernmost corner of Section No. 124, the place of commencement.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-nine of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Land proclaimed as a Road in Block XIV, Makotuku Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and forty of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that every Board shall, when necessary, cause all land vested in it under Part XIV of the said Act to be surveyed and subdivided into allotments, and in making any such subdivisions shall lay off all such road-lines upon the land as are, in the opinion of the Board, required for the settlement thereof: And whereas section two hundred and ninety of the said Act further enacts that all land which is subject to Part XV of the said Act shall be held on the same trusts as land vested in a Board under Part XIV of the said Act, and all the provisions of that Part of that Act shall apply thereto accordingly in the same manner as if the land was subject to that Part of the said Act, with such exceptions and modifications as are created by Part XV of the said Act:
And whereas the Aotea District Maori Land Board has, in pursuance of the said section two hundred and forty, caused Sections 4 and 5, Block XV, Makotuku Survey District, to be surveyed and subdivided into allotments, and has laid off upon the said land the road-line herein-after described: And whereas it is expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a road:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by section two hundred and forty of the said Act, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the said road-line so laid off as aforesaid and described in the Schedule hereto.
