Note.—Weather very changeable during the month, with the rainfall considerably above the average for June. Barometer unsteady, and somewhat below the mean of previous years, with a range of 1·12 inches. Bright sunshine amounted to 77 hours 27 minutes, and five days without recorded sunshine. Frost was recorded on four mornings. Earth temperatures during the month declined 8° at 1 ft. and 5° at 3 ft.; the mean at the former being 48·8° and 51·4° at the latter depth. Mean dew-point, 38·5°; mean elastic force of vapour, 0·233 inches; mean relative humidity, 68 per cent. of saturation.
