Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c.,
County of Ekatahuna.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this first day
of July, 1912.
Present :
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Ekatahuna, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in the Counties Act, 1908, and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Counties Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.

For preparing the defaulters list and the rolls for the ridings within the County of Ekatahuna: Until the 31st day of July, 1912.

Time for which such list and rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 7th day of August, 1912, to the 21st day of August, 1912.

Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 7th day of September, 1912.

Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 30th day of September, 1912.

Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 14th day of October, 1912.

Special Regulations for Deer-shooting, Wellington.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the conditions under which certain red-deer may be destroyed in the Wellington Acclimatization District.
REGULATIONS.

Notwithstanding anything contained in the regulations made under the Animals Protection Act, 1908, the secretary of the Wellington Acclimatization Society at Wellington, or any person or persons duly authorized in writing by such secretary, may, during the period hereinafter mentioned, kill red-deer of either sex and of any age which in the opinion of the said secretary or of the said authorized persons should be destroyed either by reason of age, deformity, or other physical imperfection.

Such deer may be destroyed as aforesaid during a period of two months from the date hereof.

A return shall be furnished to the Minister of Internal Affairs by the said secretary within one calendar month after the expiry of the aforesaid period, and such return shall state the number and sexes of all red-deer so destroyed as aforesaid, the dates, and name of the person by whom and the locality in which the deer were destroyed.

Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or any portion thereof.

Any person who commits a breach of any of the provisions of these regulations shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Β£20.

First Meeting of Rotorua Fire Board.

Wellington, 2nd July, 1912.
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, I, George Warren Russell, Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby appoint the Victoria Institute, Rotorua, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, on Wednesday, the 3rd day of July, 1912, to be the place and date for holding the first meeting of the Rotorua Fire Board.
