Authorizing the Sale of Land in the Borough of Onehunga
under the Public Works Act, 1908.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of June, 1912.
Present :
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section thirty of the Public Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever for any public work, is not required for such public work, the Governor may, by Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act :
And whereas a memorial has been laid before the Governor by the Onehunga Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said Council”), accompanied by a map, setting forth that certain land was acquired for road-widening purposes :
And whereas the said land, as described in the Schedule hereto, is not now required by the said Council for the purposes aforesaid, and the said Council desires to sell the same :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the land described in the Schedule hereto to be dealt with and sold in the manner prescribed by and subject to the conditions of the thirtieth and following sections of the said Act.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

Declaring Building and Land at Tokanui to be a Public Institution within the meaning of the Mental Defectives Act, 1911.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of June, 1912.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by the Mental Defectives Act, 1911, it is enacted that the Governor may by Order in Council declare that any building provided and maintained wholly or in part out of moneys appropriated by Parliament, together with any land used or intended to be used in connection therewith, is a public institution within the meaning of the said Act :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare the building situated on part Pokuru No. 1, Block X; Tokanui C No. 2b, Block X; part Tokanui 1a No. 2, Block XI; part Tokanui 1b Section No. 2, Block XI; Tokanui C No. 18b, Blocks XI and XV; Tokanui C No. 19b, Block XV; Tokanui C No. 12b, Blocks XI and XV; Tokanui C No. 14b, Block XV; Tokanui C No. 15b, Block XV; Tokanui C No. 16b, Block XV; Tokanui C No. 17b, Block XV; Section No. 3, Block X; Section No. 1, Block XI; Section No. 1, Block XV; and part of Tokanui No. 1b No. 2b Block, Blocks X and XI, Puniu Survey District, in the Land District of Auckland, being a building provided for the reception of mentally defective persons, and maintained wholly out of the moneys appropriated for the purpose by Parliament, together with the before-described land used or intended to be used in connection therewith, to be a public institution within the meaning of the Mental Defectives Act, 1911.

Declaring a Portion of the Pourangaki Road, in the Kiwitea County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of June, 1912.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
All that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Kiwitea County, known as the Pourangaki Road, commencing at the north-eastern boundary of Section 5, Block IX, Ruahine Survey District, and proceeding in a north-westerly direction generally, passing through Sections 5, 4, 3, 2, and adjoining Sections 1 and 6 (school reserve), Block IX, Ruahine Survey District, and terminating at the southernmost corner of the said Section 6 (school reserve), Block IX, Ruahine Survey District, being a total distance of 2 miles, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 31859, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Roads in Blocks VIII, Hayuakohe, and V and IX, Waitoa Survey Districts, to be Government Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of June, 1912.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government roads.
