No. 31286.—3rd August, 1911.—GOGU CONSTANTINESCU, of 11 Hart Street, Bloomsbury, W.C., London, England, Engineer. Improvements in carburettors for internal-combustion engines.

Claim.—(1.) A carburettor comprising, in combination with a horizontal conduit for motor-exhaust gases, a carburation-chamber surrounding said conduit, a horizontal perforated fuel-feed pipe in said chamber (substantially parallel with said conduit), an air-pipe which partly traverses said chamber and terminates with an open orifice near one end of said chamber, and non-absorbent heat-conducting bodies arranged in said carburation-chamber, with interstices between them, the inlets of the fuel, air, and exhaust gases being all at the same end of the apparatus.

No. 31299.—10th May, 1912.—CHARLES JOHN READ, of San Francisco, California, United States of America, Engineer. Electrolytic process.

Claim.—(1.) The process of recovering a magnetic metal, particularly nickel, iron, or cobalt, from a solution of its sulphate, which consists in electrolyzing said solution, using an anode of spongy lead.
