In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Gisborne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,600, authorized to be raised by the said Gisborne Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the completion of the borough electric-light works, the said Gisborne Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/48 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Gisborne, comprising the whole of the Borough of Gisborne as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 48, of the 9th June, 1904, folio 1490; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council held on Tuesday, the 28th day of May, 1912.

Resolutions made by the Otahuhu Road Board.

THE following resolutions, made by the Otahuhu Road Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

OTAHUHU ROAD BOARD.

In the matter of the Road Boards Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof; and in the matter of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof; and in the matter of the Otahuhu Road Board.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the above-mentioned Acts, the Otahuhu Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—

  1. That, for the purpose of providing the interest and a sinking fund of £1 per centum per annum on the loan of £7,000, authorized to be raised by the Otahuhu Road Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, for the completion and extension of the drainage and waterworks system in the Otahuhu Road District, the Otahuhu Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2/5 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the said district; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of July and the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

  2. That, for the purpose of providing the interest and a sinking fund of £1 per centum per annum on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Otahuhu Road Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, for improving the Great South Road and roads adjacent thereto, the said Otahuhu Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/6 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the said district; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of July and the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

  3. That, for the purpose of providing the interest and a sinking fund of £1 per centum per annum on the loan of £750, authorized to be raised by the Otahuhu Road Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, for acquiring a site for offices for the Otahuhu Road Board and for erecting workshops, the said Otahuhu Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/20 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the said district; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of July and the 1st day of January in each and every year during

the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Inhabitants of the Otahuhu Road District was affixed hereto at a meeting and by order of the Otahuhu Road Board in the presence of

Resolution made by the Council of the County of Heathcote.

THE following resolution, made by the Heathcote County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Heathcote County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £800, authorized to be raised by the Heathcote County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act (being 10 per centum additional of the original loan of £8,000 raised for the purpose of widening, forming, kerbing, and channelling the roads in the St. Martins Riding), the said Heathcote County Council hereby makes and levies a rate of ½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the capital value) of all rateable properties of the St. Martins Riding —viz., commencing at a point where the River Heathcote crosses Colombo Road South; thence by Colombo Road South and Hills Road to the north-western corner of Rural Section 241; thence along the western and southern boundaries of Rural Section 241 to Rural Section 82; thence by the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Rural Section 82 to the south-western corner of Rural Section 2135; thence along the southern and eastern boundaries of Rural Section 2135; thence along the southern boundary of Rural Sections 15153 and 15170 to the western boundary of Rural Section 12280; thence along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Rural Section 12280 to Rural Section 23645; thence along the southern and eastern boundaries of Rural Section 23645 to Whites Road; thence along Whites Road to the River Heathcote; thence by the River Heathcote to the point of commencement in the Heathcote County: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

It is hereby certified that the foregoing resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Heathcote County Council held on Monday, the 27th day of May, 1912.
