Special Order made by the Cook County Council altering Ridings and fixing Representation.

THE following special order, made by the Cook County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
A Special Order made by the Cook County Council on Friday, 19th March, 1912, and confirmed on the 19th April, 1912.
RESOLVED that the Arai Riding, as defined in Gazette, Vol. 2, 1909, page 2588, be abolished, and that two new ridings be constituted, as defined in the Schedule hereto—viz., (1) the Muriwai Riding, and (2) the Waingake Riding.
Resolved that the Muriwai Riding be represented in the Council by one member, and that the Waingake Riding be represented in the Council by one member.
Resolved that this order come into force upon the gazetting thereof.
SCHEDULE.
(1.) The Muriwai Riding.
Commencing at the centre of the main road, at the southern end of the Arai cart-bridge; thence southerly and again towards the west by the centre of that road to the north-east corner of Section 12, Suburbs of Arai Settlement; thence by the centre of a road forming the boundary of Section 12 to the south-east corner of Section 11, Suburbs of Arai Settlement; thence towards the west to the eastern boundary of Section 8, Block V, Turanganui Survey District; thence towards the south by that boundary to the northern boundary of Section 23, Arai Settlement; thence generally towards the west by that boundary to the eastern boundary of Section 9A; thence generally towards the south by the eastern boundaries of Sections 9A, 8A, 7A, 6A, 5, 4, 3, 2A, 6, 12, 11, and 10 to Trig. Station Pukemia; thence by a right line to Trig. Station Rerepi; thence generally towards the south by the eastern boundaries of Maraetaha 2, Sections 4, 5, and 3, to Trig. Station 78; thence south-westerly to the north-east corner of Puninga 5; thence towards the south by the eastern boundary of Puninga 5, and again towards the west by the southern boundaries of Puninga 5, 4, and 3 to the northern boundary of Maraetaha 2C; thence easterly along that boundary to the Puninga Stream; thence along the centre of the said stream to the centre of the Maraetaha Road; thence generally towards the south by the centre of that road to the southern boundary of the County of Cook at Section 4, Block XI, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence south-easterly by the county boundary to the sea at Paritu; thence northerly by the sea-coast to the centre of the Waipaoa River; thence towards the north by the centre of that river to its junction with the Arai River; thence by the centre of the Arai River to the Arai cart-bridge, the point of commencement.
(2.) The Waingake Riding.
Bounded generally towards the east by the Muriwai Riding, hereinbefore described, as far as the southern boundary of the County of Cook; thence north-westerly by that boundary to the south-west corner of Mangapoiki No. 2A3; thence north-easterly by the south-west boundary of that block to the Mangarangiora Stream; thence northerly by the centre of that stream to the southern boundary of Whakaongaonga Block; thence towards the east and again towards the north by the southern and eastern boundaries of that block to the southern boundary of the Waimata Native Reserve; thence by that boundary to Parikanapa; thence north-easterly to the Waimata Stream; thence by the centre of that stream to the western boundary of Section 100, Block XI, Patutahi Survey District; thence towards the north by that boundary to its north-western corner; thence towards the east by the northern boundaries of Sections 100, 98, 96, and 95, Block XI, Patutahi Survey District, to the Arai River; thence northerly by the centre of that river to the centre of the road at the Arai cart-bridge, the point of commencement.
