Milling-timber in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Tender.

NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of the Land Act, 1908, and the regulations thereunder, that written tenders will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, from the proprietors of existing sawmills and logging contractors up till 12 o’clock noon on Tuesday, 28th May, 1912, for the purchase of the kauri timber standing on the undermentioned lot.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—OHINEMURI COUNTY.
Crown Land, Part Block VIII, Ohinemuri Survey District (Waiharakeke Stream).
86 KAURI trees, containing approximately 252,540 sup. ft. (standing measurement).
Distinguishing brand thus : A
Time for removal : One year.
Upset price : 2s. per 100 sup. ft.
CONDITIONS.
- Intending tenderers are expected to visit the locality and to satisfy themselves in every particular on all matters relating to their tender.
- The aforementioned quantity, quality, and kind as to the said timber shall be taken as sufficiently accurate for the purpose of this sale, and no contract for purchase shall be voidable, nor shall the successful tenderer be entitled to any abatement in price, by reason of the said timber being of less quantity, quality, and kind than as stated herein or in any advertisement having reference to the said timber, nor shall any extra sum be claimed by the Crown if for any reason the quantity of timber is found to be in excess of that stated herein.
- No tender will be considered wherein a less royalty is offered than the upset price above stated.
- The quantity stated is standing measurement, and only those trees bearing the special distinguishing brand shown are included in this sale.
- Should any dispute arise as to boundaries, the decision of the Commissioner of Crown Land shall be final.
- In the event of the above lot not being disposed of, applications may be received and dealt with at any time
