Hokitika Police Gaol ceased to be a Police Gaol.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled the Prisons Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, declare that any prison or police gaol shall no longer be a prison or police gaol; and upon the gazetting of such Proclamation, or from and after any later date fixed in such Proclamation for the purpose, such prison or police gaol shall cease to be a prison or police gaol:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that from and after the gazetting of this Proclamation the police gaol at Hokitika, in the Provincial District of Westland, shall cease to be a police gaol.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Land proclaimed as a Road, and Road closed, in Block X, Piako Survey District, Whangamarino Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owner and mortgagees of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Whangamarino Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Piako Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road described in the First Schedule hereto.

ERRATA.—In the Schedule to the Proclamation constituting the Borough of Pukekohe, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 28th March, 1912, page 1130, the nineteenth line from the top should read “Allotment No. 299” instead of “Allotment No. 229,” and the twenty-first line should read “Allotments Nos. 299 and” instead of “Allotments Nos. 229 and.”

In the Proclamation dated the 12th day of March, 1912, and published in Gazette No. 28, of the 28th day of March, 1912, page 1129, taking a road through Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 68r Block, Subdivisions 1, 2, 3, and 4, under section 389 of the Native Land Act, 1909, for the words “All in the Taranaki Land District” read “In the Taranaki and Auckland Land Districts.”

In the Schedule to the notice of the taking and laying-off of a road in Blocks X, XI, XIV, and XV, Orahiri Survey District, Waitomo County, published in Gazette No. 19, page 922, of the 29th February, 1912, for “Kinohaku East No. 1a” read “Kinohaku East No. 1b.”
