In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of John Buchanan and Co. (Limited), (in liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, a general meeting of the shareholders of the above company will be held on Monday, the 6th day of May, 1912, at 2.30 o’clock in the afternoon, at the office of Messrs. Haworth and Callan, in Ridgway Street, Wanganui, for the purpose of receiving the account of the Liquidator as to the manner in which the winding-up of the said company has been conducted and the assets disposed of.

THE ROYAL OAK GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the Royal Oak Gold-mining Company (Limited) duly convened and held at No. 108 Victoria Arcade on the 19th day of March, 1912, the subjoined resolution was duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company also duly convened and held at the same place on the 11th day of April, 1912, the subjoined resolution was duly confirmed, viz. :

“That the Royal Oak Gold-mining Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”

And at the last above-named meeting HENRY GILFILLAN, of Auckland, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

Edin., now residing in Wellington, hereby give notice that I intend applying, on the 15th May next, to have my name placed on the Medical Register for the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar-General.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between CHARLES FREDERICK BOLTON and ARTHUR LLOYD, under the style of “Bolton and Lloyd,” as Builders and Contractors, Devonport, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.

MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Miramar Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction and installation of works for electric-power supply and light undertaking in the Borough of Miramar—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate in the King’s Chambers, Harbour Street, Wellington, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, at the Council Chambers, Harbour Street, Wellington.

Schedule.

Approximate area of parcel of land required to be taken, 2 roods 16 perches, being portion of Section No. 11, Watts’ Peninsula Survey District, coloured green on plan, situate on Broadway, approximately opposite to the junction of Ira Street with Broadway, in the Borough of Miramar.

In the matter of the Chicago Gold-dredging Company (Limited), (in liquidation).

IN pursuance of section 223 of the Companies Act, 1908, notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the company duly convened and held on Tuesday, the 2nd day of April, 1912, the following extraordinary resolution (due notice of which and the intention to propose same having been previously given) was passed :

“That the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it be voluntarily wound up; and that CHARLES EDWARD RICHARDS, of Alexandra, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

THE WAITUI CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the Waitui Co-operative Dairy Company (Limited), (in liquidation), will be held at the company’s registered office, situated in Moa Street, Inglewood, on Saturday, the 11th day of May, 1912, at 1.30 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of—

(a.) Receiving the Liquidator’s account, which will be laid before the meeting, showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of.

(b.) Considering and, if thought expedient, passing an extraordinary resolution specifying the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator shall be disposed of.

(c.) Passing a resolution disposing of any part of the balance of £5 4s. 7d. shown in the Liquidator’s statement that may remain after paying thereout the costs and expenses of and incidental to this meeting.
