Revoking the Reservation over Portion of a Scenic Reserve
in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the tenth day of
February, one thousand nine hundred and twelve,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fifteenth
day of the same month, certain lands in the Wellington
Land District was set apart as a reserve under the Scenery
Preservation Act, 1908 :

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto
(being part of the land so set apart) is no longer suitable
for scenic purposes by reason of the destruction of the
forest thereon :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder,
Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers con-
ferred on me by section eight of the Scenery Preserva-
tion Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the said
reservation.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 16 acres 1 rood 22 perches, more or less,
being Section 5, Pukeroa Village, in Block XII, Manga-
whero Survey District; save and excepting part of
the said section described as follows: Part of Sec-
tion 5, Pukeroa Village (in future to be known
as Section 12, Pukeroa Village), containing 2 acres
3 roods, more or less. Bounded towards the north-
east by part of Section 5, 289·7 links; towards the south-
east by a river-bank reserve along the Turakina River;
towards the west by other part of the said Section 5,
150 links, 107·6 links, and 331·6 links; towards the north-
west by part of Section 5 aforesaid, 451·3 links, and by
Section 10, 572·4 links, to the point of commencement.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked L. 460/9, deposited in the Head Office of the
Department of Lands, at Wellington, whereon the said
area of 2 acres 3 roods to be retained as a scenic reserve
is edged green, and the said area of 16 acres 1 rood
22 perches over which the reservation is to be revoked is
edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder,
Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of
New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued
under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this third
day of April, in the year of our Lord one
thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Declaring that an Education Reserve in Taranaki Land
District shall be sold.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the three-hundred-and-thirtieth
section of the Land Act, 1908, and of every other power
and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto, which has been reserved for
educational purposes, shall be sold, subject to the provi-
sions of the Land Act, 1908.

ERRATA.—In Schedule to Proclamation dated 14th February, 1912, taking additional land at Morningside for the
purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 17, of 22nd February,
1912, page 802, for “Portion of Subdivisional Lot 25 of Allotment 171 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland” read “Portion
of Subdivisional Lot 23 of Allotment 171 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland.”

In the New Zealand Gazette of 29th February, 1912, page 919, Notice as to Statutory Closing-days under the Shops and
Offices Act, 1908, Schedule, for Borough of “Picton, Wednesday” read “Picton, Thursday.”
