Constituting the Town District of Havelock North, in the County of Hawke’s Bay.

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908, that the Governor may declare that any locality outside a borough wherein there are not less than fifty householders shall be a town district :
And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908 :
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said area shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, by the name of the Havelock North Town District : And, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of seven members.
SCHEDULE.
HAVELOCK NORTH TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded towards the north by the Karituwhenua Stream from the Old Ngaruroro River to the north-western corner of Block IX, Te Mata Crown-grant District; thence towards the north-east by the said Block IX to the southern side of the road forming the north-western boundary of the land shown on plans Nos. 2051 and 1968, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier; thence towards the north-west by that road to the northernmost corner of Allotment No. 1 on plan No. 1968 aforesaid; thence again towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary of the said Allotment No. 1 and the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 30, and 31 on plan No. 2051 aforesaid to Te Mata Road; thence towards the south-west by Te Mata Road to the south-western boundary of Block IX, Te Mata Crown-grant District; thence again towards the north-east by a right line across Te Mata Road and by Block IX aforesaid to Cemetery Road; thence towards the south-east by Cemetery Road to the Herehere Stream; thence towards the south-west generally by the Herehere Stream to the Old Ngaruroro River; and thence towards the north-west by the Old Ngaruroro River to the Karituwhenua Stream, the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.
