Lands temporarily reserved in the Westland Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Westland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Reserve 1126, Block V, Matakikaki Survey District. Bounded towards the north, east, and south by Reserve 121, 200, 250, and 200 links respectively; and towards the west by the main south road, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For gravel purposes.

Also all that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Reserve 1127, Block V, Matakikaki Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by Section 2664, 200, 250, and 200 links respectively; and towards the north-west by the main south road, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For gravel purposes.

Also all that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Reserve 1128, Block V, Matakikaki Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by Section 2659, 200, 250, and 200 links respectively; and towards the north-west by the main south road, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For gravel purposes.

All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Reserve 1285, Block VIII, Waitaha Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 2834, 500 links; towards the east by said Section 2834, 236·7 links; towards the south-east by a railway reserve, 500 links; and towards the west by Beach Road, 236·7 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/1608B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For a cattle-yard.

All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1371, Block II, Cobden Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section 2956, 300 links; towards the east by Section 2957, 200 links; towards the south by said Section 2957, 300 links; and towards the west by road reserve, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For gravel purposes.

Also all that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1372, Block II, Cobden Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section 2959, 300 links; towards the east by said Section 2959, 200 links; towards the south by Section 2960, 300 links; and towards the west by road reserve, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For gravel purposes.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/1608C, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 26 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1373, Block VI, Otira Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Christchurch Road, 363·6 links; towards the north-east by said Christchurch Road, 126·2 links; towards the south-east by Section 2558, 492·1 links; and towards the south-west by Section 2971, 488·1 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For gravel purposes.

Also all that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 20 acres and 19 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1378, Block VI, Otira Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Christchurch Road, 1247·6 links; towards the south-east by Section 2971, 1598·8 links; towards the south-west by said Section 2971, 1273·9 links; and towards the north-west by Reserve 910, 1593·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a resting-place for travelling stock.

All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 25·6 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1374, Kokatahi Village Settlement, Block X, Kanieri Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Kokatahi Road, 201·2 links; towards the south-east by Reserve 1375, 226 links; towards the south-west by Section 3, 173·4 links; and towards the north-west by Section 1129, 213·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For purposes of public utility.

Also all that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 34·8 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1375, Kokatahi Village Settlement, Block X, Kanieri Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Kokatahi Road, 201·3 links; towards the south-east by Bowen Road, 240 links; towards the south-west by Section 3, 200·8 links; and towards the north-west by Reserve 1374, 226 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For purposes of public utility.

All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Reserve 1383, Moana Village. Bounded towards the north by Section 24, Moana Village; towards the east by Section 42; towards the south by Ahau Street; and towards the west by Ana Street: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/1563A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a site for public buildings of the General Government.

All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 39 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1384, Moana Village. Bounded towards the north by Section 27, Moana Village; towards the east by Section 1 of Block IV, Brunner Survey District; towards the south by Ahau Street; and towards the west by Section 43: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/1563A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue. For a site for a public school.

All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 16·9 perches, more or less, being Reserve 1385, Moana Village. Bounded towards the north by Ahau Street, towards the east by Section 45, and towards the south-west by railway reserve; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/1563A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
