IT is hereby notified for general information that Friday, the 5th, Saturday, the 6th, and Monday, the 8th day of April, 1912, will be observed as holidays in the public offices of the Government of New Zealand.

After a massive fire destoyed the wooden Parliament complex in 1907, Old Government House (depicted) became the seat of Parliament until 1918. Demolished in 1969 to make way for the Beehive.
