SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 30 acres, more or less, being Reserve 3847, situated in Block V, Leeston Survey District. Bounded towards the north and east by the Selwyn River, towards the south by Rural Sections 2832 and 4111, towards the south-west and again towards the south by Rural Section 13544, and again towards the south-west by Rural Section 7004; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/1227, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Southland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written for a public recreation-ground.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 28 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section 12, Block XII, Campbelltown Hundred, and being an island, known as Joey’s Island, situated in Awarua Bay, south of Sections 8 and 9 in the said block; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 642/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, as a site for a post-office.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 33·3 perches, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block XII, Town of Owhango. Bounded towards the west by the Waimarino-Taumarunui Road, 83·33 links; towards the north by the Owhango Road, 250 links; towards the east by Section No. 4 of said Block XII, 83·33 links; and towards the south by Section No. 2 of said block, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/1514, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twelfth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 117 acres and 20 perches, more or less, being Section No. 3, Block VIII, Hokianga Survey District, commencing at the westernmost corner of Section No. 1, Block VIII, Hokianga Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 1 aforesaid, 290·6 and 688·2 links; towards the east by Crown land, the crossing of a public road, and again by Crown land, 5936·1 links; towards the south-east by Crown land, 847·7 links; towards the south-west by a public road along the Tasman Sea, 1997·1, 1725·4, and 1063·9 links; and towards the north-west by a public road along the Waimamaku River, the crossing of a public road, and again by the road along the aforesaid river, 319·8, 109·8, 304, 710·3, 474·8, 1373, and 4·1 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: save and excepting a public road intersecting the before-described land: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 4002/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. WHEREAS by section one hundred and nine of the Public Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that in any case where a road in one district is largely used by or for the purpose of traffic to or from any other district or districts, and affords access to or from such districts, and the Governor is of opinion that it is equitable that the latter district or districts should contribute towards the cost of constructing or maintaining the whole or any portion of such road in the former district, the Governor may from time to time
