And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown: And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land, as required by the ninetieth section of the Public Works Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the ninetieth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for scenic purposes; and shall vest in His Majesty the King as from the twentieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Lands.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth day of March, 1912.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Revocation of an Order in Council prohibiting all Private alienation of certain Native Land.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth day of March, 1912.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke an Order in Council dated the nineteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the twenty-first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven:
And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the revocation hereby authorized.

Validating Public Notification with respect to a Loan of £850 proposed to be raised by the Waimate Borough Council.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth day of March, 1912.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Waimate Borough Council lately proposed to raise a loan of eight hundred and fifty pounds, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the purchase of land for waterworks purposes: And whereas certain irregularities or defects have occurred in the procedure to obtain such loan, in as much as the notice of the proposal required by section eight of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, as amended by section nineteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, to be published in some newspaper circulating in the district once in each week for four successive weeks, though published four times was not so published in the same newspaper, but was published twice in each of two newspapers circulating in the district, and was not so published for four full successive weeks: And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularities or defects, and it is expedient to validate the aforesaid proceedings:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power conferred by section one hundred and twenty-one of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section seven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the publication of the said notice shall be taken and be deemed to be as valid as though it had been published strictly in accordance with the provisions of section eight of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, as amended as aforesaid: And His Excellency the Governor, with such advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby validate such proceedings, and doth further order and declare that the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall not be called in question by reason only of the irregularities or defects aforesaid.

WHEREAS the Pukekohe East Road Board lately proposed to raise a loan of one thousand five hundred pounds over the Tuakau Special-Rating Area, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, for making a road from Whangarata to Tuakau: And whereas the notice of intention to raise the above loan, although advertised once in each week for four successive weeks, was advertised partly in two distinct newspapers instead of in one newspaper only: And whereas, as the last notice was advertised on the seventh September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and the poll was taken on the twenty-eighth October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, there was an interval of fifty-one days instead of three weeks only: And whereas
