any compensation whatever, on giving to the licensees three calendar months’ previous notice in writing. Any such notice shall be sufficient if given by the Minister, and delivered at or posted to the last known address of the licensees in New Zealand.

  1. The licensees shall be liable for any injury which the said wharf may cause any vessel or boat to sustain through any default or neglect on their part.

  2. In case the licensees or either of them shall—
    (1.) Commit or suffer a breach of the conditions hereinbefore set forth, or any of them;
    (2.) Fail to erect and complete the wharf within eighteen months from the date of this Order in Council;
    (3.) Cease to use or occupy the said wharf for a period of thirty days;
    (4.) Become bankrupt, or be in any manner brought under the operation of any law for the time being in force relating to bankruptcy; or
    (5.) Fail to pay the sums specified in clause 3 of these conditions,—

then and in either of the said cases this Order in Council, and every right, power, or privilege, may be revoked and determined by the Governor in Council, without any notice to the licensees or other proceeding whatsoever; the publication in the New Zealand Gazette of an Order in Council containing such revocation shall be sufficient notice to the licensees, and to all persons concerned or interested, that this Order in Council, and the license, rights, and privileges thereby granted and conferred, have been revoked and determined.

  1. The erection of the wharf shall be sufficient evidence of the acceptance by the licensees of the terms and conditions of this Order in Council.

Extending the 1911–12 Trout-netting Season in Lake Hawea.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of February, 1912.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 83, of the twenty-ninth day of the same month, regulations were made providing that the season for netting trout in Lake Hawea shall extend from the first day of November in any year to the fifteenth day of March in the following year:

And whereas it is desirable that the 1911–12 season for netting trout in such lake should be extended:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Fisheries Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulation, and doth hereby declare that such regulation shall have effect on and in the waters of Lake Hawea, in the Provincial District of Otago.


REGULATION.

The 1911–12 season for netting trout shall extend from the 1st day of November, 1911, to the 30th day of April, 1912, both days inclusive.

Extending Time for holding Election, Waipu River District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth day of March, 1912.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the forty-second section of the River Boards Act, 1908, it is enacted, among other things, that the Governor, by Order in Council notified in the Gazette, may extend the time allowed for the holding of any election, whether the day may have passed on which the same ought to have been held or not: And whereas it is expedient that the time for holding the election of members of the Waipu River Board should be extended as hereinafter mentioned:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the said River Boards Act, 1908, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time for holding the election of members of the Waipu River Board to the third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the eighteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
