NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto subsisting between us as Storekeepers, Auctioneers, and Land Agents at Woodville, under the style of “Crowe and Macfarlane,” has been dissolved as from the 1st day of January, 1912. The business will in future be carried on by GEORGE DIXON MACFARLANE in his own name. All the liabilities of the Partnership will be paid by GEORGE DIXON MACFARLANE, who will receive all moneys due to the Partnership, and whose receipt will alone be a sufficient discharge for the same.

THE MOTOR REGULATION ACT, 1908.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Council of the above county has taken the necessary steps required by the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, Part II, section 13, to become a registering authority under the said Act.

NOTICE TO TAKE LANDS.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Wairoa County Council to take land for a public road through Tukemokihī No. 3D, Block II, Clyde Survey District, the area registered being 3 acres 2 roods 26·2 perches, and a plan of such land is deposited at this office for inspection during ordinary business hours daily, and I call upon all persons affected to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the laying-off of such road, or the taking of such land, and to send such writing to the Wairoa County Council within forty days from the first publication of the notice.

WAIMATE RACING CLUB.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE GAMING ACT, 1908.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, and with the approval of the Governor, the Waimate Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”),
doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Waimate Racecourse Reserve, situate at Waimate, set apart for racing purposes, and known as the Waimate Racecourse, as the same is described in the Waimate Racecourse Reserve Act, 1881, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings :—

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the Waimate Racecourse while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely :—
(a.) Bookmakers;
(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the said club;
(c.) Persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
The foregoing regulations of the Waimate Racing Club are hereby approved this 27th day of February, 1912.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 33s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.
Postage or duty stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication, a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.
