THE following by-law, made by the Christchurch Fire Board, is published in accordance with the Fire Brigades Act, 1908.

CHRISTCHURCH FIRE BOARD BY-LAW NO. 2, 1911, RELATING TO THE RATES OF PAY OF PAID AND AUXILIARY MEMBERS OF THE CHRISTCHURCH FIRE BRIGADE.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in it by the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, and of all and each and every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Christchurch Fire Board makes and ordains this by-law.
The short title of this by-law shall be the Christchurch Fire Board By-law Number 2.
This by-law shall be read with and form part of the Christchurch Fire Board By-law No. 1, 1909, in like manner as if the same had been enacted therein, and shall come into force on the 21st day of November, 1911.
From and after the coming into force of this by-law subclause (c) of clause 3 of the Christchurch Fire Board By-law Number 1, 1909, and all the provisions thereof after the words “as follows” in such subclause, shall be repealed, and the following subclause shall be substituted therefor :—
(c.) The rates of pay for officers and members, and the rates of pay or allowances to auxiliary officers and members, shall be as may be determined from time to time by the Board.
