General Description.
Terepa is an estate of 5,563 acres acquired by the late Otago School Commissioners, now offered for occupation in twenty-one years’ leases, with perpetual right of renewal at a revaluation at end of term.
The block comprises white and silver tussock-covered downs, with good, rich, swamp land and areas of peat-swamp land. There is ample fall for drainage, and the block can be easily drained. The main drains have been opened, and many of the side drains put in. A considerable area has been sown with English grasses. On two of the sections the land has been broken up and cultivated.
On all the sections there is grass and tussock feed that would enable stock to be put on without delay.
The soil generally is good, except the peat swamp, which has been valued very low.
The block is capable of great improvement and development.
Form of lease may be perused and full particulars obtained at this office.
