Duty to be levied on “Rhusol Economical.”
ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS an article known as “Rhusol Economical,”
a concentrated varnish, is imported into New Zea-
land and is an article which in the opinion of the Minister
of Customs possesses such properties that it can be used
for purposes similar to those for which varnish is used, the
latter article being liable to the following duties of Cus-
toms : namely, two shillings the gallon if the manufacture
of some part of the British Dominions, and two shillings
and four and four-fifths pence per gallon if not the manu-
facture of such dominions:
