Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:

charges on a loan of £7,000, authorized to be raised by the
Waitemata County Council, under the above-mentioned
Act, for the construction and improvement generally of
the roads of the Mairetahi Riding of the County of Wai-
temata, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Mairetahi
Riding of the County of Waitemata; and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
December in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or
until the loan is fully paid off.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of
the Borough of Westport was taken on the 10th day of
November, 1911, on the proposal of the Westport Borough
Council to borrow the sum of £12,000 for the purpose of
extending the municipal gasworks.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 204,
and the number of votes recorded against the proposal
was 231.

I therefore declare the proposal rejected.
