he has been handed over for any crime or on any other charge whatever prior to the extradition, except those in respect of which the extradition has been accorded.

Neither shall that person, until he has had an opportunity of returning to the country from which he has been extradited, be handed over to a third State.

ARTICLE 2.

The present Convention shall be ratified, and the ratifications shall be exchanged at London, as soon as possible.

It shall come into force ten days after its publication in the manner prescribed by law in the respective countries, and shall have the same force and duration as the Treaty to which it relates.

In witness whereof the respective Plenipotentiaries have signed the present Convention, and have affixed thereto their seals.

Done in duplicate, at London, the 3rd March, 1911.

And whereas the ratifications of the above Convention were exchanged at London on the 10th day of May, 1911:

Now, therefore, His Majesty, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, and in virtue of the authority committed to Him by the said recited Acts, doth order, and it is hereby ordered, that from and after the 25th day of August, 1911, the said Acts shall apply in the case of Belgium under and in accordance with the said Treaty of the 29th October, 1901, and the supplementary Conventions of the 5th March, 1907, and 3rd March, 1911:

Provided always that the operation of the said Acts shall be and remain suspended within the Dominion of Canada, so long as an Act of the Parliament of Canada, being Part I of chapter 155 of “The Revised Statutes of Canada, 1906,” and entitled “An Act respecting the Extradition of Fugitive Criminals,” shall continue in force there, and no longer.

Revocation of Appointment of Bonding Warehouse.

CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the authority in me for this purpose vested, I, the Minister of Customs, do, by this order under my hand, revoke and annul the appointment of the undermentioned warehouse for the reception and security of goods entered to be warehoused without payment of duty upon the first entry thereof, namely:—

Port of Poverty Bay.

The warehouse known as

THE GISBORNE BOND,

as appointed and described in Minister’s Order No. 830, of the 7th day of January, 1907.

Approving and appointing a Bonding Warehouse.

CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by the Customs Law Act, 1908, I, the Minister of Customs, do hereby approve and appoint the undermentioned warehouse to be a warehouse for the reception of goods under bond, namely:—

Port of Poverty Bay.

Portion of a brick building situated on Section 74, Gladstone Road, Borough of Gisborne, to be known as

THE GISBORNE BOND.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks VIII and X, Awakino North, and I, II, and III, Awakino Survey Districts.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Act, 1903, and the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for scenery-preservation purposes. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Awakino, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.
