NOTE.—The weather was changeable and mild, except for a cold southerly snap on the 19th, 20th, and 21st. Total bright sunshine, 151 hours 50 minutes, and three sunless days. Frosts occurred on five mornings. The mean earth-temperature at 1 ft. was 51·3°, and 52° at 3 ft. Mean dew-point, 39·3°; mean elastic force of vapour, 0·24 in.; and mean relative humidity, 62 per cent.
