- The Land Board may authorize the laying-down and
working of tram-lines through these lots by other persons
than the licensees of the particular lots affected. - The licensee shall not put, throw, or place, or allow to
be put, thrown, or placed, into any river, stream, water-
course, or into any place where it may be washed into any
river, stream, or watercourse, any sawdust or other saw-
mill refuse. - If the timber on any lot is unsold at auction the
right to cut it at the upset price will remain open for ap-
plication until further notice. - Each lot will be sold generally in accordance with
the area and boundaries as shown on the sale map at the
District Lands Office, Wellington. - No compensation will be given nor shall any be
claimed for any error, discrepancy, or misdescription
whatever in respect of any lot or in these conditions.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.
- Six months’ rent at the rate offered, together with £1 1s.
lease fee, must accompany each tender. - There are no restrictions or limitations as to the
number of sections which one person may lease, and no
declaration is required. Residence is not compulsory. No
compensation shall be claimed by the lessee, nor shall any
be allowed by the Government, on account of any improve-
ments effected by the lessee, nor for any other cause. - Possession will be given on the date of acceptance of
tender. - The lease shall be subject to termination by twelve
months’ notice in the event of the land being required by
the Government. - The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance.
- The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or
otherwise dispose of the land comprised in the lease with-
out consent. - The land shall not be cropped nor broken up, except
with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown
Lands first had and obtained. - The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse,
broom, and sweetbriar on the land comprised in the lease ;
and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove, or cause
to be removed, all gorse, sweetbriar, broom, or other noxious
weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Commissioner of
Crown Lands.
