vested in me by the Counties Act, 1908, and the Public
Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
is hereby taken for the said drainage purposes, and shall
vest in the Corporation of the Chairman, Councillors, and
Inhabitants of the Cook County Council as from the date
hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Pro-
clamation shall take effect on and after the second day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Land Act, 1909, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron
Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby lay out and take as a road the land described
in the Schedule hereto.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for a
Further Portion of the Stratford-Kawakawa Railway,
Pohokura Section, and for Road-diversions in connection
therewith.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act,
1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue
or making of any Proclamation taking land under the
Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award
of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is
found that the land or any part thereof is not required
for the purpose for which it was taken, or that any error
in form or substance exists in or in relation to that Pro-
clamation, or the making or gazetting thereof, the Go-
vernor may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted,
revoke the former Proclamation, either wholly or so far
as he thinks necessary:
And whereas it is found that the Proclamation taking
land in Blocks III, IV, VII, X, and XI, Ngatimaru
Survey District, for a further portion of the Stratford-
Kawakawa Railway and for road-diversions in connection
therewith, made under the Public Works Act, 1908, and
dated the twenty-second day of September, one thousand
nine hundred and eleven (hereinafter termed "the said
Proclamation"), and published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 77, pages 2905, 2906, and 2907, of the twenty-eighth
day of the same month, contains an error in substance in
that the piece of land hereinafter mentioned is incor-
rectly described: And whereas compensation in respect
of the taking of the land incorrectly described in the said
Proclamation has not been paid or awarded:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder,
Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested
in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and
of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects two
acres two roods seventeen perches and sixteen-hundredths
of a perch, being portion of Ohura Road, situated in
Block VII, Ngatimaru Survey District (shown coloured
green on sheet 4 of the plans marked P.W.D. 27713, de-
posited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at
Wellington), being a part of the land taken by the said
Proclamation.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of
New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued

Licensing the Kauri Timber Company (Limited) to use
and occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land below
Low-water Mark on the Whenuakite River, Coromandel
County, as a Site for Timber-booms.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day
of October, 1911.
Present:
His Excellency The Governor in Council.
WHEREAS, there being no Harbour Board empowered
to grant the license hereinafter mentioned, the
Kauri Timber Company (Limited), of Auckland (herein-
after called "the company"), has applied to the Governor
in Council for a license under the Harbours Act, 1908
(hereinafter called "the said Act"), to occupy a part of the
foreshore and land below low-water mark on the Whenua-
kite River, Coromandel County, in order to construct and
maintain thereon timber-booms; and, in accordance with the
one-hundred-and-fiftieth section of the said Act, has deposited
a plan in the office of the Marine Department, at Wellington
(marked M.D. 3743), showing the place where it is intended
to construct such timber-booms, the area of foreshore and
land below low-water mark intended to be occupied for such
purpose, and the manner in which it is proposed to carry out
the work: And whereas it has been made to appear to the
Governor in Council that the proposed work will not be or
