NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of members of the Waima Timber Company (Limited), (in liquidation) duly convened and held at 99 Queen Street, Auckland, on Monday, 28th August, 1911, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed: “That the company be wound up voluntarily.” And it was further resolved: “That Mr. JEROME WEETMAN, of Auckland, Merchant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE PHARMACY BOARD OF NEW ZEALAND.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is my intention to proceed on Friday, the 27th day of October, 1911, to the election of eight duly registered pharmaceutical chemists of New Zealand to serve as members of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand, in place of the members who retire by effluxion of time on the 31st December, 1911, and are eligible for re-election. Members are required to be elected as follows:—

Two members for the Central District, to be elected by the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within the District of Wellington, the boundaries of which are the same as those of the Provincial Districts of Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Nelson, and Marlborough.

Two members for the District of Auckland, to be elected by the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within the District of Auckland, the boundaries of which are the same as those of the Provincial Districts of Auckland and Taranaki.

Two members for the District of Canterbury, to be elected by the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within the District of Canterbury, the boundaries of which are the same as those of the Provincial Districts of Canterbury and Westland.

Two members for the District of Otago, to be elected by the registered pharmaceutical chemists residing within the District of Otago, the boundaries of which are the same as those of the Provincial District of Otago.

All candidates must be nominated in manner provided by the regulations on or before Monday, the 9th day of October, 1911, nominations closing at 4 p.m. on that day. Nominations will be received by the Registrar at his office in Brandon Street, Wellington.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908; and of the taking under the said Act of certain land within the District of Poverty Bay for the purpose of a hospital-site.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Cook Hospital and Charitable Aid Board (a duly incorporated body), under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, intend to take by Proclamation the following land, namely:—

Part of Lot A 6 on Plan 953, part of the Whataupoko Number Four Block, area one acre three roods and one and nine-tenths perches, and also parts of Lot Two on Plan 1246, area three roods and six and seven-tenths perches, and being part of Section Forty-six of the Whataupoko Number Three Block, making in all a total area of two acres two roods and nine and three-tenths perches.

A plan of the said lands proposed to be taken is, by direction of the Cook Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, deposited at the office of the Cook County Council, Gisborne, where the same may be inspected free at all reasonable hours.

It is proposed that the said lands form part of the new hospital-site which has been acquired by the said Cook Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.

The description of the lands is as shown on the said plan.

All persons having any objections to the taking of the said lands are hereby required to send such objection in writing to the Cook Hospital and Charitable Aid Board on or before the 14th day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

The common seal of the Cook Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was affixed hereto this 15th day of September, 1911, in the presence of—
