Special Order made by the Waikohu County Council altering Ridings and fixing Representation.

THE following special order, made by the Waikohu County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order adjusting Representation in the Council.
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Waikohu County Council resolves by way of special order as follows:—

The present division of the County of Waikohu into six ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said county shall be divided into five ridings, to be called respectively Karaka Riding, Kanakanaia Riding, Mangatu Riding, Motu Riding, and Ngatapa Riding, which said ridings are respectively described in the Schedule hereto.

The said Waikohu County Council shall consist of seven members, who shall be elected as follows:—
(a.) The electors of the Karaka Riding, the Kanakanaia Riding, and the Ngatapa Riding shall each elect one member;
(b.) The electors of the Mangatu Riding and of the Motu Riding shall each elect two members.
This special order shall come into force on the gazetting thereof.
SCHEDULE.
Karaka Riding.
Commencing at the county boundary at the south-east corner of Subdivision 1, Tangihanga C; thence proceeding along the eastern boundary and north-east boundary to the Wharekopae Stream; thence northerly along the centre of that stream and easterly along the centre of the Waikohu River and the Waipaoa River to where the latter joins the county boundary; and on the east and south by the present county boundary to the point of commencement.
Kanakanaia Riding.
Commencing at the junction of the Mangaone Stream and the Waipaoa River; proceeding west bounded on the south by the Waipaoa River; thence north-west generally bounded by the Waipaoa River to the north-west corner of Rangatira No. 3; thence along the north and north-west boundary of Rangatira No. 3 and Rangatira No. 3E1 to the north-west corner of the last-mentioned block; thence by a right line to the south-east corner of the Rangatira No. 3A Block; thence bounded on the north-west by the Rangatira 3A, Hauomatuku A and 1A, 1B, and 4 Blocks, the Waingaromia No. C, and the Waingaromia River to the county boundary; then bounded on the north-east and south-east by the county boundary to the point of commencement.
Mangatu Riding.
Bounded on the south by the Karaka Riding; on the south-west by Puhatikotiko 7A, 7B, and 6B Blocks; by Poututu No. B 6, B 6B, B 3, and B 4B, by Small Grazing-run 61, by Sections 1, 2, and 3, Block X11, Motu Survey District, and by Sections 1 and 2, Block VIII, Motu Survey District, and Mangatu No. 4; on the north-west by the present county boundary; on the north-east by the present county boundary; and on the south-east by the new boundary of the Kanakanaia Riding.
Motu Riding.
Commencing on the county boundary at Mangatapere; proceeding easterly bounded on the south and south-east by Tahoma 2C2, Section 2, Section 1, Block IX, Ngatapa, Wharekopae No. 3, Sections 1 and 2, Block VI, Ngatapa Survey District, Wharekopae No. 1B1, 1B2, No. 2A, 2B1, 2B2, and Okahuatuu No. 1 Block to the Wharekopae Stream; and bounded on the south-east by the Karaka Riding, north-east by the Mangatu Riding, north-west by the county boundary, and south-west by the county boundary to the point of commencement.
Ngatapa Riding.
Bounded on the north-west, south-west, and south-east by the county boundary; and on the east by the county boundary and the boundary of the Karaka Riding; and on the north generally by the Motu Riding.
