Notice of Request to amend Specification.

REQUEST for leave to amend the undermentioned application for Letters Patent has been received, and is open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time from one month from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the amendments. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

The nature of the proposed amendments is as follows:—

On page 2,—
To alter “seven” to “six,” line 3.
To alter “a detail” to “an enlarged view,” line 6.
To omit “Figure 1 showing,” and insert instead “one of the,” line 6.
To alter “valve” to “valves,” and insert after “valve,” “shown in Figure 1, the hand-wheel being omitted,” line 6.
To omit “as an enlarged view,” lines 6 and 7.
To omit from “Figure 3” to “Figure 1,” lines 8 and 9.
To alter “4” to “3,” line 10; “5” to “4,” line 11; “6” to “5,” line 13; and “7” to “6,” line 15.
To insert after “ball,” line 11, the following: “and valve-chest, and shows the toucher attached to piston-ring for operating the valve-ball,” and to omit “over and in contact with the ball-chest and toucher.”
