Situated on the Taupo-Napier coach-road, on the shores of Lake Taupo, a mile and a half from the Town of Taupo. Undulating land, covered with a dense growth of manuka; pumice soil; watered by Lake Taupo and a warm stream.
Terms and Conditions of Lease.
- One-half year’s rent, the lease fee (£1 1s.), and rent for the period from the date of auction to the 31st December, 1911, must be paid on the fall of the hammer.
- Immediate possession will be given.
- The lease will be for a term of fourteen years from the 1st January, 1912, but subject to termination by twelve months’ notice in the event of the land being required by the Government.
- The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance on the 1st January and 1st July in each year, free from all deductions whatsoever.
- The lessee shall not sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of his interest in the lease without consent.
- The lessee shall have no right to compensation, either for improvements he has put on the land, or on account of the aforesaid resumption, or for any other cause; but he may, on the expiration or sooner determination of the lease, remove all buildings and fences erected by him, but not otherwise.
- The lessee shall destroy all rabbits on the land, and shall prevent their increase or spread, to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
- The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, sweetbriar, or other noxious weeds on the land comprised in the lease; and he shall with all reasonable dispatch remove, or cause to be removed, all noxious weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
- The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within thirty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.

Situated on the Sawyer’s Arms Road, near Papanui, about two miles and a quarter from the tramway terminus and railway-station at Papanui, and about five miles from Christchurch Post-office. Open, level agricultural land, with black soil on a sandy clay subsoil; excellently adapted for fruit-growing, market gardening, or small farming; the land is in good order, laid down in clover and grass.

Situated respectively about two miles and one mile north-westward from Templeton Railway-station, which is nine miles from Christchurch on the Christchurch-Dunedin Main Trunk Railway line. Open, level agricultural land, Section 5 consisting of good light soil in grass, and Section 17 of rich land in wheat stubble. The improvements, which are included in the price of the sections, are as follows: Section 5, 197½ chains of boundary and subdivision fencing, valued at £90 8s.; Section 17, 16 chains of boundary-fencing, valued at £6.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for selection on renewable lease; and applications will be received at the District Lands Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, the 27th day of September, 1911, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.
Applicants will have to appear personally before the Land Board at the District Lands Office, Invercargill, at 10 o’clock a.m. on Thursday, the 28th September, 1911, to answer any questions the Land Board may ask, but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of the district in which he resides.
The ballot for the section, if there is more than one applicant, will be held on Thursday, the 28th September, 1911, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., at the District Lands Office, Invercargill.
Preference will be given to landless applicants, and the decision of the Land Board as to which of the applicants are landless shall be final and conclusive.
