Land in Nelson Land District surrendered.

NOTICE is hereby given that, a surrender of the lease of the undermentioned land having been accepted by resolution of the Nelson Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned small grazing-runs are open for lease; and applications will be received at this office up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 24th day of October, 1911, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Reserves in Auckland Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserves will be offered for lease by public auction at this office on Friday, the 6th day of October, 1911, under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

Undulating land; well watered; vegetation consists of short tea-tree scrub; fenced on south side by Rotorua Railway line. Situated two miles from Putaruru Railway-station.

Undulating land, covered with short tea-tree scrub; fenced on south boundary by Rotorua Railway line. Situated three miles from Putaruru Railway-station.

Terms and Conditions of Lease.

  1. One-half year’s rent, the lease fee (£1 1s.), and rent for the period from the date of auction to the 31st December, 1911, must be paid on the fall of the hammer.
  2. Immediate possession will be given.
  3. The lease will be for a term of fourteen years from the 1st January, 1912, but subject to termination by twelve months’ notice in the event of the land being required by the Government.
  4. The rent shall be payable half-yearly, in advance, on the 1st January and 1st July in each year, free from all deductions whatsoever.
  5. The lessee shall not sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of his interest in the lease without consent.
  6. The lessee shall have no right to compensation, either for improvements he has put on the land, or on account of the aforesaid resumption, or for any other cause; but he may, on the expiration or sooner determination of the lease, remove all buildings and fences erected by him, but not otherwise.
  7. The lessee shall destroy all rabbits on the land, and shall prevent their increase or spread, to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
  8. The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, sweetbriar, or other noxious weed on the land comprised in the lease; and he shall with all reasonable dispatch remove, or cause to be removed, all noxious weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
  9. The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within thirty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.
