Constituting the Borough of Opotiki, County of Opotiki.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a borough under the said Act on and from the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eleven; that the name of such borough shall be the Borough of Opotiki; that the said borough shall be an undivided borough; and that the number of Councillors to be elected thereto shall be seven, exclusive of the Mayor.
And I do further proclaim and declare that William Arthur Brown, of Opotiki, shall be the Returning Officer to conduct the first election of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough; and that the said William Arthur Brown shall be the Town Clerk and the person to prepare the district electors roll for the purposes of the said first election.
And, lastly, I do proclaim and declare that the first election of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough shall be held on Wednesday, the sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven; and that the first meeting of the Council of the said borough shall be held on Wednesday, the thirteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at two o’clock in the afternoon, at the Town Board Office, Main Street, Opotiki.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-west and north-east generally by the Otara River from its confluence with the Waioeka River to a point in line with the southern side of Duke Street; thence towards the south by a right line to the southern side of Duke Street, by the southern side of that street and its production to the Waioeka River; and thence towards the west generally by the said Waioeka River to the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the River Boards Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), as amended by the River Boards Amendment Act, 1910, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date hereof, that part of the said Dominion described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby constituted a district under the said Act, and shall be known by the name of the Waikato River District; and, further, that the number of members who are to constitute the Board of the said district shall be seven. And I do also proclaim and declare that Richard Evanson Beamish, of Mercer, shall be the Returning Officer to conduct the first elections of the aforesaid district; that Saturday, the ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, shall be the day for holding such first elections; and that Wednesday, the thirteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at

ERRATA.—In the Warrant published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 20th July, 1911, appointing trustees for the Matire Public Cemetery, for “Thomas Mills” read “Thomas Wills.”
In the New Zealand Gazette No. 64, of the 10th August, 1911, page 2489. Order in Council consenting to the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court granting leave to appeal, for “Maraekowhai 28 No. 2,” read “Maraekowhai 2b No. 2.”
