Mr. Teo Tipene
(also known as Paratene te Raro), of Wellington, has been duly appointed a member of the Public Trust Office (Native Reserves) Board under the provisions of sections 2 of the Native Reserves Act, 1882, and the Westland and Nelson Native Reserves Act, 1887, vice Mr. Aporo Hare Kumeroa, deceased.

ALL that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, being Section 26, and the unoccupied portion of Section 24, Block XI, Village of Kaponga. Situated close to Mina Railway-station, at present the southern terminus of the Waipara-Blenheim Railway, distant seventy-six miles northward from Christchurch, and about two miles from the Town of Mackenzie, the business centre of the Cheviot Estate. Open, generally level land, with good soil.
TERMS OF SALE.
One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown grant fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter; otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void. Title will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1908.

Pastoral Lands in the Nelson Land District open for License.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for license under the Regulations for the Occupation of Pastoral Lands within the Karamea Mining District; and applications will be received at the District Land Office, Nelson, and at the local Land Offices at Reefton and Westport, on Wednesday, 13th September, 1911, up to 4 p.m.
SCHEDULE.
BULLER County, 9,484 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks V, IX, X, and XIV, Brighton Survey District.
DESCRIPTION AND LOCALITY.
This land is situated about thirty miles south of Westport and twenty-six miles north of Greymouth. The Town of Brighton is about two miles from the northern end of the block. There is a good dray-road from Westport to Brighton, with the exception of about a mile near White Horse Creek that is not yet completed. From Brighton there is a good pack-track along the coast, past the southern end of the block, towards Greymouth. A good pack-track, connecting with the main road from Greymouth, crosses the middle of the block.
The land consists of flats and terraces and low hills ranging to 1,700 ft. The formation is to a great extent limestone, and is well watered throughout. The whole area is covered with mixed bush, consisting, inter alia, of birch, rimu, tawa, matai, tawhero, and white-pine.
