DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto subsisting between JAMES ALLEN GALLAGHER and GEORGE BOGUE CARR, as Provision-merchants, in the Borough of Hastings, has been dissolved as from the 25th day of May, 1911. All moneys due to the late firm shall be paid to the said JAMES ALLEN GALLAGHER, whose receipt will be a sufficient discharge; and the said JAMES ALLEN GALLAGHER will defray all the liabilities of the said firm.

NOTICE is hereby given that G. HARDT AND CO. (LIMITED), Woollen-merchants, having its registered office at Manchester, in England, having for some time past carried on business at Farish Street, in Wellington, in the Dominion of New Zealand, intend and will on the expiration of three months after publication of this notice cease to carry on such business or any other business in New Zealand.

PUBLIC NOTICE.

THE CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAY BOARD.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and amendments, and of the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1906.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch Tramway Board, a body incorporated by the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1906, proposes to take, under the provisions of that Act and of the Public Works Act, 1908, and amendments, for the purposes of the permanent-way of the Hackthorne Road tramway, all that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement one rood and eight and six-tenths perches, more or less, situate in Block XV, Christchurch Survey District, being part of R.S. 562, and bounded as follows, that is to say: Commencing at the intersection of the north-western side of the Cashmere Road by the south-western boundary of the said section; thence north-westerly along the said south-western boundary, 64·9 links; thence north-easterly by a line parallel to the said Cashmere Road, and being 67° 52' (true), 588⅔ links; thence south-easterly by a line bearing 99° 50' 46", 94·4 links; and from thence returning south-westerly along the said Cashmere Road, 627 and 45/100 links, to the commencing-point.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land required and proposed to be taken as aforesaid, and the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands, so far as they can be ascertained, is deposited at the office of the said Christchurch Tramway Board, Falsgrave Street, Christchurch, where the same is open for public inspection daily without fee during office hours; and that all persons affected shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of such lands, or the execution of such work, set forth in writing such objection, and send such writing, within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice, to wit, the 25th day of July, 1911, addressed to the Chairman of the Christchurch Tramway Board, at the said office of the Board, Falsgrave Street, Christchurch.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Timaru Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the widening of part of a certain public street in the Borough of Timaru (namely, Cameron Street)—by means of the land hereby proposed to be taken, which land is the property of one DANIEL DAVIES, of Timaru, Draper, and for the purposes of such public work as aforesaid the said land, which is described in the Schedule hereto, is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Timaru Borough Council, situate in George Street, Timaru, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the said Timaru Borough Council office.

In the matter of the Legislature Act, 1908; and in the matter of a Bill to be intituled “An Act to incorporate and confer certain Powers on the Trustees of the Three Kings Institution and to make other Provisions in regard thereto,” the Short Title of which shall be the Methodist Charitable and Education Trusts Act, 1911.

NOTICE is hereby given that application is intended to be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand at the ensuing session thereof for leave to bring in a Bill to be intituled “An Act to incorporate and confer certain Powers on the Trustees of the Three Kings Institution and to make other Provisions in regard thereto,” and that the objects of such Bill will be—

  1. To constitute the present Trustees of all those pieces of land particularly described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules hereto (hereinafter termed “the said lands”) a body corporate, under the name of “The Board of the Wesley Training College,” having a perpetual succession and a common seal; and to provide regulations governing the meetings of such Board, the keeping of minutes and accounts, the appointment of new members, the circumstances creating vacancies, the mode of filling such vacancies, and generally defining the powers of the Board.

  2. To vest all the said lands in the Board, to be used and administered by the Board under the general control and superintendence of the Conference of the Methodist Church of Australasia in New Zealand (hereinafter termed “the Conference”).

  3. With a view to the promotion of the better efficiency and development of the institution or school known as the Three Kings Institution, and in aid of which the rents and profits from the said lands have been used, and with a view to making better provision for the agricultural and other operations carried on in connection with the said institution, and also enabling the said lands to be turned to better account as endowments in aid of such institution, to empower the Board, subject to the approval of the Conference, when sufficient funds have been raised and are available for the purpose, to acquire by purchase or otherwise an area of land in the Provincial District of
