EXEMPTED AREA NO. 2.
All that area in the Auckland and Hawke’s Bay Land Districts bounded towards the north-west by the sea from the mouth of the Kaituna Stream to Cape Runaway; thence towards the north and east generally by the sea to the mouth of the Waiomoku Stream; thence towards the south-west by that stream to its source; thence by a right line to the summit of Ahititi Mountain; thence by a right line to the summit of Wheturau Mountain; thence by a right line to the confluence of the Mohi River and the Mangaotane Stream; and thence by a right line to the mouth of the Kaituna Stream, the place of commencement.
EXEMPTED AREA NO. 3.
All that area in the Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington Land Districts bounded towards the north by a right line from the summit of Wharepuhanga Mountain to the summit of Uraura Mountain; thence by a right line to the summit of Tikorangi Mountain; thence by a right line to the junction of roads near the source of the Waiotapu Stream; thence by a right line to Galatca; thence by a right line to the confluence of the Whakatane River and the Waikare Stream; thence by a right line to the confluence of the Wai-oeka River and the Opato Stream; thence towards the north-east by a right line to the summit of Maungatapere Mountain; thence towards the south-east by a right line to the northernmost point of Lake Waikaremoana; thence by the boundary between the Auckland and Hawke’s Bay Land Districts to the Te Hoe River; thence by that river to its confluence with the Mohaka River; thence by the Mohaka River to its source; thence by a right line to the summit of Te Iringa Mountain; thence towards the south by a right line running due west to the watershed between the Rangitikei River and the Aorangi Stream; thence by a right line to the summit of Paratetaitonga Mountain; thence towards the west by the watershed west of Lake Taupo, over Tongariro and Pareora, to the summit of Rangitoto Mountain; and thence towards the north-west by a right line to the summit of Wharepuhanga Mountain, the place of commencement.
EXEMPTED AREA NO. 4.
All that area in the Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury, and Westland Land Districts bounded towards the north generally by a right line running due east from the summit of the Brunner Range to Mount Mantell; thence by a right line to Mount Baring; thence by a right line to the northernmost point of Lake Rotoiti; thence by a right line to Beeby’s Knob; thence by a right line to Forty-eight Knob; thence towards the north-east generally by a right line to Gordon’s Knob; thence by a right line to the confluence of the Awatere and Winterton Rivers; thence by a right line to the confluence of the Clarence and Branch Rivers; thence towards the south-east by the Clarence River to the bend at the junction of roads near Jollie’s Pass; thence by a right line to the confluence of the River Hanmer and Boundary Creek; thence towards the south generally by the River Hanmer to its confluence with the Waiau-a River; thence by that river to its confluence with the River Hope; thence by the Hope River to its source; thence by a right line to the confluence of the Trent and Tutaikuri Rivers; thence by the latter river to its confluence with the Waiheki River; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of Lake Haupiri; thence towards the west generally by a right line to Lake Hill; thence by a right line to the confluence of the Grey and Alexander Rivers; thence by the leading spur and the watershed over Mount Haast and Mount Burnett to the Victoria Range; and thence by the summit of the Victoria and Brunner Ranges to a point due west of Mount Mantell, the place of commencement.
EXEMPTED AREA NO. 5.
All that area in the Westland, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland Land Districts bounded towards the north-east generally by the Waitaha River from the sea to its source; thence by a right line running due east to the summit of the Southern Alps; thence towards the south-east by a right line to the confluence of the Godley and Macaulay Rivers; thence by a right line to the northernmost point of Lake Ohau; thence by a right line to the summit of Terrace Peak; thence by a right line to the Mouth of Rumbling Burn on the western side of Lake Wanaka; thence by a right line to the southernmost point of Lochinagar; thence by a right line to the confluence of the Dart River and the Routeburn; thence by the Routeburn to its source, and a right line running due west to the watershed east of the Hollyford River; thence towards the east generally by that watershed and the watershed over David Peaks and Moffat Peak to the source of Winton Burn; thence by Winton Burn to its confluence with the Mararoa River; thence by a line running due east to the summit of the Thompson Mountains; thence by the summit of the Thompson Mountains, the watershed east of the Mararoa River, and the summit of the Takitimo Mountains to Cornet Peaks; thence by a right line to the confluence of Ligar Creek with the Waiau River, and that line produced to the watershed east of Lake Monowai; thence by the watershed east of Lakes Monowai and Hauroto to the Hump; thence by a right line to the source of Track Burn; thence by Track Burn to its mouth at Tewaewae Bay; and thence towards south, west, and north-west generally by the sea to the Waitaha River, the place of commencement.
EXEMPTED AREA NO. 6.
All that area in the Nelson Land District bounded towards the north-east by a right line from the mouth of the Anatoki River to Mount Lockett; thence towards the south-east by a right line to Hough’s Saddle, near the source of the River Skeet; thence by a right line to the source of the Little Wanganui River; thence towards the south generally by the Little Wanganui River to the sea; and thence towards the west and north-west by the sea to the mouth of the Anatoki River, the place of commencement.
EXEMPTED AREA NO. 7.
All that area included in outlying islands and territories of the Dominion of New Zealand as follows:—
- The Great Barrier Islands.
- D’Urville Island.
- The Chatham Islands.
- The Auckland Islands.
- The Campbell Islands.
- The Antipodes Islands.
- The Bounty Islands.
- The Kermadec Islands.
- Islands forming the Cook Group, viz.: Rarotonga, Mangaia, Atiu, Aitutaki, Mauke, Mitiaro, Takutea, The Hervey’s (Manuae and Aotu).
- Islands outside the Cook Group, viz.: Savage or Niue, Palmerston, Penrhyn or Tongareva, Humphrey or Manahiki, Rierion or Rakaanga, Danger or Pukapuka, Suwarrow.
