Notice fixing Closing-hours of all Shops in the Borough of Riverton under the Shops and Offices Act.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all shops in the Borough of Riverton, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all shops in the borough shall be closed at 9.30 p.m. on Saturdays: And whereas the Riverton Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all shops within the Borough of Riverton:

Now, therefore, I, John Andrew Millar, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that, from and after the 15th day of July, 1911, all shops in the Borough of Riverton shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Act, 1908, I, David Buddo, Acting Minister of Lands, do hereby authorize the laying-off of George Street, Lex Street, and Lionel Street, in The Rocks Township, Southland Land District, of a width of not less than 66 ft. instead of 99 ft.

Appointing Charlton Main Tail-race Board.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the regulations for the maintenance of the Charlton Main Tail-race Board, published at page 1323 of New Zealand Gazette No. 47, of the 19th day of June, 1902, and the deed of agreement, dated the 24th day of February of the same year, therein referred to, the following persons have been appointed and elected a Board for the management and maintenance of the Charlton Main Tail-race, under and subject to the said deed:—

WILLIAM MACARA, appointed by the Minister (Chairman);
RICHARD FREDERICK WALLIS and THOMAS GREEN, elected by the companies;
JOHN ANDERSON and EDWARD TAYLIS, elected by the landowners;

who shall come into office as from the 8th of July inst.
