JULY 13.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

£1,000 for the widening and deepening of the outlet drain.
£1,000 on drainage-works on the north-western side of the outlet drain for the concentration and discharge of drainage-waters therefrom.
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on the said loan of £2,000 under the before-mentioned Acts, the Makerua Drainage Board makes and levies a special rate of 15/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable values of all properties in Special District No. 4, for the payment of interest at the rate of 3½ per centum per annum and for the term mentioned, and for the repayment of loan-moneys; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of February and August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off. The loan to bear interest at the rate of 3½ per centum per annum, and the repayments for principal and interest combined to be at the rate of £4 17s. 6d. per centum per annum. The cost of raising loan and the first year's interest to be paid out of loan.

Resolution made by the Council of the Borough of Whangarei.

THE following resolution, made by the Whangarei Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Additional 10 per Centum Loan of £1,700 on the £17,000 Loan, known as “The Drainage Loan,” inscribed as follows: £1,000 13s. 2d. on the 1st day of February, 1910, and £16,416 15s. 4d. on the 1st day of February, 1911.
Resolution making special rate of 1/20 of a penny in the pound on the capital value for repayment of loan under section 70 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910.
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers it thereto enabling, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on an additional loan of £1,700 (in connection with a loan of £17,000 for drainage purposes granted on the 12th day of October, 1909), authorized to be raised by the Whangarei Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the drainage-works of the borough according to the scheme submitted by Mr. Metcalfe to the Council on the 26th day of February, 1909, the said Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/20 of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all the rateable property of and within the Borough of Whangarei ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 31st day of October in each and every year, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said Act. The rate of interest of such loan to be 3½ per centum per annum.
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Whangarei Borough Council held on Tuesday, the 13th day of June, 1911 ; and the common seal of the Council was hereto affixed in the presence of—

THE following resolution, made by the Mangaweka Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

MANGAWEKA TOWN BOARD.
Resolution making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Mangaweka Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £9,110, authorized to be raised by the Mangaweka Town Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of constructing waterworks and the installation of a sewerage system, the said Mangaweka Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) on all rateable property in the Mangaweka Town Board District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.—Crows’ Nest Special-rating Area Loan, £500.
SPECIAL ORDER making special rate for repayment of loan under section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910 :
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Matamata County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of road-construction on the Cambridge-Maungatautari Road, the said Matamata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/5 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all the rateable property in the said Crows’ Nest Special-rating Area, comprising the whole of the Maungatautari Riding within the Matamata County, excepting thereout Sections C, D, F, and G of the Horahora Estate ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said Act. The interest to be paid on such loan is £3 10s. per centum per annum, the whole loan
