IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Act, 1908, I, David Buddo, Acting Minister of Lands, do hereby authorize the laying-off of Haache Street, in the Town of Gisborne Extension No. 13, Hawke’s Bay Land District, of a width of not less than 66 ft. instead of 99 ft.

Resolution made by the Taradale Town Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Taradale Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

TARADALE TOWN BOARD.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and their amendments, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Taradale Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Taradale Town Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the following purpose—namely, erecting and furnishing a building or buildings comprising all or any of the following, namely:

Town hall, public reading-room, library, and Town Board’s offices, with such offices or conveniences as are usual or proper to the foregoing—the said Taradale Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Taradale Town District, comprising the whole of the said district; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years or thereabouts—that is to say, until the 1st day of August, 1941, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The foregoing resolution was duly made and passed at an ordinary meeting of the Taradale Town Board held on the 13th day of June, 1911; and the common seal of the Taradale Town Board was hereto affixed in the presence of—

Resolution made by the Council of the County of Stratford.

THE following resolution, made by the Stratford County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making a Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of defraying the cost of erecting two hardwood bridges on the Mangaehu Road to the westward of Puniwhakau, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Puniwhakau Bridges Special-rating District, comprising Allotment 1 of Subdivision 11, eastern 200 acres of Allotment 2 of Subdivision 11, and Subdivision 12, Huiakama Block; 400 acres of Toko B Block, adjoining Subdivision 12, Huiakama; Sections 1 to 6 inclusive, and 13, Block XIV, Sections 13, 14, 20 to 26 inclusive, 30, and half of 27, Block XV, Ngatimaru Survey District; Sections 1 to 23 inclusive, Block II, Sections 1 to 26 inclusive, Block III, and Sections 1 to 26 inclusive, Block IV, Omona Survey District; Sections 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 to 13 inclusive, Block XIII, Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, Block XIV, Mahoe Survey District; Sections 1 to 18 inclusive, Block I, Sections 1 to 6 inclusive, Block II, Taurakawa Survey District, and Mangaehu and Puniwhakau Villages: and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Stratford County Council held on the 21st day of June, 1911.
