he having a total commissioned service to 20th May, 1911, entitling him thereto of twenty years and seventeen days.

he having a total rank and commissioned service to 1st April, 1903, entitling him thereto of thirty-seven years two hundred and ninety-five days.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to revoke the commission granted to Lieutenant-Colonel Edward Severin Heard (2nd Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers) as Colonel of the New Zealand Militia, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 9, of the 2nd February, 1911, on his appointment as Colonel on the Imperial General Staff whilst employed as Director of Military Training and Staff Duties, New Zealand Military Forces, and with effect from the 30th May, 1911.

Notice (amended) respecting Proposed Alteration in Boundaries of Borough of St. Kilda.

Wellington, 21st June, 1911.
PURSUANT to section 118 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to him, praying that the said area may be included in the Borough of St. Kilda. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF ST KILDA.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded towards the north generally by the Bay Town District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 55, of the 8th June, 1905, from the present eastern boundary of the Borough of St. Kilda to the south-eastern side of Bowen Street; thence towards the south-east by the south-eastern side of Bowen Street to the present boundary of the Borough of St. Kilda; and thence towards the south-west by the present boundary of the Borough of St. Kilda to the place of commencement.
